POUR
붓기
Each painting begins with fluid pigment, physical movement, and chance. Color is poured, moved, and disrupted across the surface, creating an initial field of rhythm and possibility.
각 회화는 유동적인 안료와 신체적 움직임, 우연성에서 시작된다. 색을 붓고 움직이며 표면에 개입하는 과정에서 리듬과 가능성의 초기 장이 형성된다.

OBSERVE
관찰
Once the poured surface has dried, the painting is observed from multiple orientations. The canvas is rotated and studied without immediately searching for a fixed image. Changes in direction reveal different rhythms, tensions, and possibilities already present within the material.
흘려 만든 표면이 마르면 캔버스를 여러 방향으로 돌려가며 관찰한다. 하나의 이미지를 바로 정하기보다 방향의 변화에 따라 물질 안에 이미 존재하는 리듬과 긴장, 다양한 가능성이 어떻게 달라지는지 살펴본다.
관찰은 일련의 시각적 결정으로 발전한다. 트레이싱과 드로잉, 구도 연구, 해부학적 탐구를 통해 흘려 만든 화면 안의 가능성을 시험하고 구체화한다. 하나의 이미지를 미리 정하기보다, 스케치북 작업을 통해 회화가 나아갈 방향을 점차 좁혀간다.
Observation develops into a series of visual decisions. Through tracing, drawing, compositional studies, and anatomical research, possibilities within the poured field are tested and refined. Rather than designing a fixed image, the sketchbook progressively narrows the direction the painting might take.

EMERGE
출현
The developed direction returns to the canvas through charcoal. Figurative forms are drawn in response to structures already present within the poured field, allowing the body to emerge without becoming separate from the surrounding atmosphere.
스케치북에서 발전시킨 방향은 목탄 드로잉을 통해 다시 캔버스로 이어진다. 흘려 만든 화면 안에 이미 존재하는 구조에 반응하며 인체 형상을 그려 나가고, 신체가 주변의 분위기와 분리되지 않은 채 서서히 드러나도록 한다.

INTEGRATE
통합
Transparent color and drawing develop through repeated cycles of obscuring and clarification. Staining allows the figure to recede into the surrounding field, while later charcoal selectively restores structure and emphasis. The painting develops through this movement between dissolution and definition.
투명한 색과 드로잉은 흐려짐과 선명해짐이 반복되는 과정 속에서 발전한다. 스테이닝을 통해 형상은 주변의 장 속으로 다시 스며들고, 이후의 목탄 작업은 필요한 구조와 강조점을 선택적으로 되살린다. 회화는 이처럼 해체와 구체화 사이를 오가며 발전한다.

RESOLVE
완성
Resolution emerges through repeated cycles of drawing, staining, obscuring, and clarification. The finished painting retains these earlier states, allowing abstraction and the figure to remain in active relationship.
완성은 드로잉과 스테이닝, 흐려짐과 선명해짐이 반복되는 과정 속에서 이루어진다. 완성된 회화에는 이전 단계의 흔적이 남아 있으며, 추상과 인체 형상은 화면 안에서 지속적인 관계를 유지한다.
